Austin Ballroom Dancers

Thank you for the warm wishes and encouragement! I made it through the first ballroom dance class at Austin Ballroom Dancers. I was just as good and just as awful as all the other newbies and enjoyed the evening thoroughly. Tonight we began learning Nightclub Two-Step (nothing like the two-step I grew up with) and West Coast Swing.

By the end of the night I think I was getting mentally and physically tired because I suddenly couldn't remember the basic timing of the steps! Thank goodness the instructor is going to send us video links so we can practice.

I did not feel like the oldest or clunkiest person in the room (even though I may actually have been), and the younger ones didn't seem to mind dancing with me at all. The instruction was clear and pleasant. I had a good time. Whew!
